Over the last 20 years fine wine investment has seen consistent returns year on year. Even over the last few years the financial crisis did little to stop the industries average wine investment returning higher profits than many equivalent assets. Out of all the different wines in the fine wine index, Bordeaux wine counts for 93%. Bordeaux is a region in France which has ideal conditions for creating the wine from the climate to the soil. This has accounted for is prominence in the wine investment industry.

Bordeaux wines have a classification system that is over 100 years old. The vineyards that produce the wine are classified according to the classification system made 100 years ago to determine who had the best quality of wine. This classification has stood the test of time and still exists today. If you are thinking of going in to wine investment you need to learn deeply about Bordeaux wine as probably this is the wine you will be investing in.
